13 parameters

Iron (Fe) Zinc (Zn) Manganese (Mn) Copper (Cu) Boron (B) Sulfur (S) CEC
What we test

13 parameters. Nothing left untested.

Full Spectrum covers every macro and micronutrient your soil needs to support healthy plant growth — plus the metric that governs them all.

Essential Parameters — 7 tests
Soil pH
Master control for nutrient availability. Too high or too low and nothing absorbs properly.
Nitrogen (N)
Drives leafy growth and green colour. The most commonly deficient macronutrient in Malaysian soils.
Phosphorus (P)
Fuels root development, flowering, and fruiting. Excess P locks out zinc and iron.
Potassium (K)
Regulates water uptake and disease resistance. Critical for fruit quality and shelf life.
Organic Matter (%)
Indicator of soil health, moisture retention, and microbial activity. The foundation of fertile soil.
Calcium (Ca) & Magnesium (Mg)
Secondary macronutrients. Ca builds cell walls; Mg is the centre of every chlorophyll molecule.
Electrical Conductivity (EC)
Measures total dissolved salts. High EC causes fertiliser burn; low EC signals poor nutrient levels.
Advanced Parameters — 7 tests
Iron (Fe)
Essential for chlorophyll synthesis. Deficiency causes yellowing between leaf veins (interveinal chlorosis).
Zinc (Zn)
Regulates enzyme activity and growth hormones. Deficiency stunts new growth and causes small, distorted leaves.
Manganese (Mn)
Assists photosynthesis and nitrogen metabolism. Commonly deficient in high-pH soils.
Copper (Cu)
Supports lignin formation and disease resistance. Deficiency causes wilting in young shoots.
Boron (B)
Critical for cell wall formation, pollination, and fruit set. Deficiency prevents flowering and causes hollow stems.
Sulfur (S)
Component of proteins and enzymes. Deficiency mimics nitrogen deficiency — often misdiagnosed without testing.
CEC
Cation Exchange Capacity — measures your soil's ability to hold and release nutrients. The key to efficient fertilisation.

Is this right for you?

Built for growers who want the complete picture

Full Spectrum is built for…

  • Persistent nutrient deficiencies that haven't responded to basic fertilising — because the cause is likely a micronutrient or CEC issue, not a missing NPK.
  • Urban farms and commercial plots where input efficiency directly affects margins. Knowing your CEC means you fertilise smarter, not more.
  • Gardeners planning major soil amendments — raised beds, new plots, imported growing media — before investing in materials.
  • Anyone who wants the complete picture before committing to expensive soil treatments or long-term growing programmes.
A note on food safety

Full Spectrum gives you a comprehensive nutrient profile — but it does not screen for heavy metals or pesticide residues. If you're growing edibles and concerned about soil safety, consider our Food Safety Screen instead. It's purpose-built for that question.

Questions

Frequently asked

What are micronutrients and why do they matter?+
Micronutrients — iron, zinc, manganese, copper, and boron — are needed in very small amounts, but they're essential for processes that macronutrients can't substitute. A plant deficient in zinc can't produce growth hormones. A plant deficient in iron can't make chlorophyll. Because they're needed in such small quantities, they're easy to overlook in a basic test — yet they're often the root cause of problems that don't respond to standard NPK fertilising.
What is CEC (Cation Exchange Capacity)?+
Cation Exchange Capacity measures how well your soil can hold onto positively charged nutrients — calcium, magnesium, potassium, and others — and make them available to plant roots. Soils with high CEC (clay-rich or high in organic matter) hold nutrients well but can be slow to release them. Sandy soils have low CEC — nutrients leach away quickly, so you need to fertilise more frequently but in smaller amounts. Knowing your CEC is the key to fertilising efficiently: the right product, at the right rate, at the right time.
How is Full Spectrum different from Essential?+
SoilCheck Essential (RM 380) covers the 7 foundational parameters: pH, N, P, K, organic matter, calcium & magnesium, and EC. It's the right starting point for most home gardeners. Full Spectrum adds 6 more: five micronutrients (Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu, B), sulfur, and cation exchange capacity — 13 parameters in total. Choose Full Spectrum when standard fertilising hasn't solved a persistent problem, when you're running a commercial operation, or when you want the complete picture before making major soil investments.
How do I collect my soil sample?+
No special equipment needed. Use a clean zip lock bag or a container with a lid. Collect about 400g of soil — roughly a large handful. For best results, dig to 6–8 inches deep and fill the bag. Label it with your name. That's one sample. We'll ship you the airway bill after your order — just attach it to the bag and drop it at any courier point.
How long does it take?+
Full Spectrum has a turnaround of 7–10 working days from the date we receive your sample at the lab. The additional micronutrient and CEC tests require a slightly longer lab processing time compared to the Essential panel. Once your reports are ready, you'll receive both PDFs by email and a booking link to schedule your 30-minute consultation call.
